Labyrinth Web Designs was formed in 2006 by ambitious self-starter designer Theresa Gaffney to service local businesses and artists by developing their presence on the internet.

 

LWD began by designing sites for musicians, but rapidly grew its portfolio of clients to include photographers, artists, financial companies and fashion boutiques. Using this multifacted background, the company approaches web design using an artistic eye, but efficient hand. Clean HTML and CSS are most important, and the elimination of slow-loading scripts and graphics is a goal.

 

The typical design process with LWD goes something like this:

 

• Intial goal-setting for the project with the client
• Site structural development
• Pen-to-paper design ideas converted to layout
• Content development, typically provided by client but can be written by us
• Cross-browser testing
• Site visibility and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategizing
• Site maintenance instruction
